Field of Dreams

What a delightful weekend SJ and I had! After the fun and hustle and bustle of Manhattan, we boarded Amtrak to Albany to visit his stepson and family. Neither of us had spent time in the area and the train ride was the perfect transition. Okay, it was an hour late due to track repairs, but since we weren't on a schedule it just stretched the beautiful ride along the Hudson. Everything about the weekend was delightful, but the bed and breakfast was simply wonderful! The Red Cottage in Slingerlands is just what it says -- a lovely cottage, in a beautiful setting amid flowers and blueberry bushes, replete with a red Husky named Baron. The owner is an attorney who built the cottage not ever knowing if the market would understand her concept! Her story certainly resonated with THIS Silver Vixen! Suffice to say that the market does understand her vision and loves it! If her story wasn't so fascinating, I wouldn't have told you about the place and kept the secret to myself!
