They still don't seem to get it

I am in San Francisco to attend a two day conference on marketing to Baby Boomers. You know I am passionate to say the least about raising our visibility and I thought I might learn something about the topic at this highly regarded conference. Alas, again we are certainly far from front and center.

The only people I have met who truly understand what we are about is other women, mostly among the attendees, many of whom ARE Silver Vixens! Not that hair color is a determining criterion, but I am the only silver haired woman here and I am not the youngest. Part of the fun, though, is being so unique here -- putting a face on Women of a Certain Age, and bringing attention to the importance of our ongoing, growing place in the world. As always, the more mature women love the idea of us and are eager to get back to their laptops and explore the site. We engender great excitement and pride among our peers!

I won't leave my heart in San Francisco (that belongs to Sweet Jack!), but I will go home excited about who Silver Vixens are and where we are going. Oh, the places we will go!
