All We Do... Business
Linda Remeschatis - founder of WisconsinMade.com is an attorney with great pride in the artists and artisans of her home state. Ten years ago, she and a group of friends came up with the idea of promoting products from Wisconsin as part of their then governor’s cross country motorcycle trip. Over the course of the next year, she and her husband visited artists and food producers all over the state. Convinced she had a good idea, she formed the company starting with 38 vendors. She is a recipient of Make Mine a Million Dollar Business award from Count Me In.
Barbara Staib – Safe Home Products In 1998, Barbara Staib was a burned out social worker living outside of Iowa City, Iowa. After 25 years in agency work helping troubled families she had simply had enough. Not a woman to retire, she began thinking about her strengths and passions. Her passion was still helping people and one of her many strengths was her “terminal curiosity” about how things worked and the best way to do something. She started with the best mop she had ever found to clean her ceramic floors and now has over 5,000 items! Companies also now rely on her and her posse to critique their manuals and instruction sheets. We have much to thank Barbara for!
Lynne Lambert – NYCSubwayLine.com - Lynne has been a very successful commercial actress on both stage and in the lucrative voiceovers market. Immediately we can see that she is creative and tenacious -- no one is successful in the arts without great discipline and tenacity!
One day, she looked at the New York City subway map and had her AHA! Moment. The map was a terrific graphic! She could see this colorful, unique design on fun, hip clothing. Lynne had absolutely no experience in clothing design, manufacturing, licensing, or distribution. She did have a burning desire to see what she could do with her concept. Lynne is a recipient of Make Mine a Million Dollar Business award from Count Me In.
Arlene Harris - Jitterbug is that cute phone for people who want a cell phone – not a video game, not a movie projector, not a mini-computer, a cell phone. She has always been an innovator in the telecommunications industry and all the more so now, a true Silver Vixen, bringing her technology brilliance to bear on her real understanding of the marketplace.
