Getting to know her:
What is your favorite book of all time?
THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF HENRY VIII, BY Margaret George, which I have read three times. I kept learning new things about an era about which I am fascinated. The fact that I read this book over and over, must be because of my desire to learn more about this historical period. It is about a very violent era where men were in total control and women really had no place other than to bear children and serve men. Even though the book deals with women who hold high places, they are still subservient to men's authority and desires. I know that I could never be happy living at that time.In total contrast , I am now immersed in reading the series of books by Janet Evanovich, describing the exploits and adventures of Stephanie Plum, bounty hunter. These books are very easy to read and funny as hell.
Where have you enjoyed visiting the most?
It is too difficult to list any one place as my favorite. I have been to Greece, Turkey, Italy, Rome, Florence, Venice, and enjoyed the wonders of these exotic and historic places. Everyone of these cultures has satisfied my interest in art, architecture, people, historical sites, food and drink of the region. Each one different and wonderful in their own way. I have also thoroughly enjoyed traveling t up the coast of CA. Love New York, The Big Apple, Las Vegas, the city of sin and majestic Sedona.
If you had an extra million dollars, what would you do with it?
Provide for the future of my son and my grand kids. Travel to exotic places that I have thought about and not had an opportunity to visit. Do an infomercial and whatever else would be necessary to spread my passion of fitness and health.
Who would you like to have dinner with and where?
I would love to have had dinner with Isadora Duncan, the famous innovator in the field of modern dance. Since she was such a free spirit the proper venue for dinner would be a nymph-like setting with a warm breeze wafting through a beautiful field of flowers.
Where would you love your next vacation to be?
My husband and I would really love to go to Israel. I feel a deep connection with Israel as it is the Jewish homeland. Even though my man, who is now my husband of 1 month (August 2009!), is not of the Jewish faith, he feels as I do, that Israel is the spiritual center of all religions.
Favorite color and why?
My signature color is black. Followed closely by Purple and Red. They are classic colors and I feel my best in them. They can be accessorized for day or evening depending on the occasion. What were you wearing when you felt the most glamorous?
I felt my most glamorous in my Ralph Lauren gown that I wore to my step-daughter's wedding. Simple and classy, with a golden hue. No jewelry, just crystal dangling earrings, and gold sandals.
